The tour starts at Tiradentes square, which can be easily accessed by taxi, Uber or VLT Tiradentes station. If you want a transfer service, ask us for the price to pick it up from your accommodation.
In the morning we will visit: Royal Portuguese Reading Cabinet, São Francisco de Paula Church, Santo Antônio Convent, Carioca.
Let’s have lunch at a traditional restaurant in Cinelândia that has excellent service and excellent food!
In the afternoon, continuing our walking tour, we will make an internal visit to the wonderful Theatro Muncipal, getting to know not only in detail its imposing interior, but also environments that many of its visitors have never been to.
Next we go to Paço Imperial, the royal family’s first address upon their arrival in Rio de Janeiro. Also, very close by, we go to Chafariz do Valentim, one of the main artists of colonial Brazil, having worked as a sculptor, carver and urban planner in Rio de Janeiro.
If all this wasn’t already good enough, let’s pass by Arco do Teles and learn about the famous story of the circle of children who were abandoned by their mother.
In the last steps we will visit the Nossa Senhora da Lapa dos Mercadores Church to see the miracle of the saint who fell more than 20 meters high after being hit by a cannonball and remained intact.
Closing our journey through time and for the celebration of those present, we will have a delicious coffee together at the traditional and historic Colombo confectionery, founded in 1894.
